Laois County Council nominated the SVT Activity & Wellness HUB (in the Community Wellbeing Initiative category) in this year’s IPB Pride of Place Competition in association with Co-Operation Ireland. The Competition gives communities across Ireland the opportunity to display how proud they are to live in, work in and take care of their own local areas. ??❤
The aim of the Pride of Place competition is to recognise initiatives taken by local communities to create pride in their area and to celebrate the vital contribution that community groups make to society.
Judging for the competition took place a little while back, it started at the Timahoe Heritage Centre, continued on to Stradbally at The Malthouse and then went on to Vicarstown Canal.
